STRIVING TO BE THE BEST

As we enter into the year 2007, I would like to reflect upon an organization that continues to improve every year. The California Association of Labor Relations Officers has been around more than twenty-five years. Since CALRO’s inception, hundreds of law enforcement officers from several states have been trained to react to disputes associated with labor and management. In essence, the training deals with keeping the peace from a law enforcement perspective. Law enforcement personnel are not negotiators for labor unions or managers. However, we provide guidance to both sides so they may continue with their issues without breaking the law. Judging by CALRO’s seminar previous attendance record, law enforcement managers are beginning to recognize the importance of training personnel on how to create an environment both sides can agree upon.

CALRO is a non-profit organization where the board members and instructors are committed to being the best. The board members are committed to making CALRO the most informative organization relating to training law enforcement officers about the intricate demands of assisting labor unions and management. Once again, CALRO seminar will commence in June at a first rate hotel in Palm Springs. The date and location will be provided soon. I would like to thank all previous attendees and new officers who have plans to attend this informative seminar.
